3 no-fuss bouquets even kids can make

Mother’s day is fast approaching yet most of us are still stuck at home to prevent the further spread of corona virus. A lot of people can go out with their quarantine pass but a number still prefer staying at home.

In this post, I will share 3 easy to do bouquets so you can still level up your Mother’s Day surprise even without having to go outside.

Paper Roses

To make paper roses, you will need these things:

  • construction paper of any color (I chose red)
  • barbecue sticks
  • scissors
  • pencil
  • hot glue
  1. Draw a circle on your paper and cut it.
  2. Draw a spiral in the circle & cut through it.
  3. Take the outer end of the spiral and, using the stick, roll it in.
  4. Secure with some hot glue.

Take extra care when using hot glue to avoid accidents and burns. If this is too hard for you, a double-sided tape can also help secure your rose to the stick. Simply cover your stick with double-sided tape before rolling the paper in.

I wrapped mine in green Japanese paper to make it look more of a bouquet. If you do not have one of these, you can put your roses directly in a vase. 😉

Pom poms

Nope, this is not the cheerleading. Grab your pom poms at home and get a stick because those are the only two things you need.

If you do not have pom pom balls but you have some yarn lying around, that can work too! Just follow the steps here.

Now, this is fairly easy. Once you have your pom pom balls, just stick the pointy end of your stick the balls. You can use some hot glue to secure it but most often than not, it is unnecessary.

Make it fancy by placing them in a cute vase.

Tea bouquet

I cannot say ‘everyone’ but a lot of moms have a stash of tea for whenever. Why not take mom’s tea time up a notch by making a bouquet out of them.

Yup! These are all you need:

  • Mom’s favourite tea
  • some sticks
  • hot glue

Again, if you are not comfortable in using hot glue, clear tapes work well for this project too.

  1. Put a bit of glue on one end of the stick.
  2. Tap it on the back of the tea and hold it in place until the glue dries.
  3. Place them in mom’s cup so she can enjoy one immediately after waking up on Mother’s Day. 😉
