Waking Up To My Best Beautiful With Olay Night Ritual

When I was young, I often put make up not because I want to but because I need it when performing as a dancer-actor in theatre. It was my life until I finished college. I had an early taste of what it is like to endure sleepless nights, and the rigors of balancing classes as early as 8 am to as late as 6 pm, then having rehearsals until 10 in the evening or even later. I experienced keeping myself up for days with Bacchus running through my veins because I had to finish a chapter of my thesis before going on stage. It was an awesome time. My youth made me feel invincible.

Today, I am 26, and the stresses of my energetic life begin to reveal itself. Using make up almost every day, and sleeping for less than 3 hours at times, are taking a toll on my skin. Wrinkles and fine lines begin to appear. I am no Adaline Bowman but I am glad someone is taking care of my skin until I become my best beautiful.

In college, I felt so young that I veered away from anti-aging products. However, I learned from a skin expert that it is best to start taking care of my skin at a young age. I also learned that using anti-aging products even before I reach 30 years of age would really help my skin age gracefully. Hence, I switched to Olay, and have been using it for 7 satisfying years.  I began with Olay Natural White, and transitioned to Olay Regenerist and Olay Total Effects 3 years ago.

How I started Olay Night Ritual

I have been using my Olay Regenerist Revitalising Cream Cleanser for 3 years now. It is the only thing I use. It washes off make up, and leaves my skin feeling soft and smooth. Recently, when Sample Room featured Olay’s miracle duo, I learned that it is not enough to use cleanser alone.

Using cleanser sort of disturbs skin’s pH balance. Hence, to restore it, a toner is necessary. The Regenerist Miracle Duo, on the other hand, repairs the cells from within. Together, these did wonders to my skin. I have been using the whole squad of Olay Night Ritual for six days, and the results are fascinating. Check out my raw before and after photos and notice how few lines near my eyes disappeared.

My Olay Night Ritual

I am sure you want to know more about the products. Let me give you a closer look at them.

Step 1: Cleanse with Olay Regenerist Revitalising Cream Cleanser

olay cleans

The cleanser is coloured white, it is creamy, and it has beads that help clean the surface of the skin. It smells good, and a little amount can go a long way. It leaves skin soft and smooth.

Step 2: Tone with Olay Total Effects 7 in One Pore Minimizing Toner

olay toner

This toner looks a lot like water as any toner would appear. It does not seem to have any scent at all either. A few drops of this to a cotton ball is already enough to cover my entire face, and it is easily absorbed by my skin. I do feel a difference because it leaves my skin softer and feeling fresh from a shower.

Step 3: Treat with Olay Miracle Boost Youth Pre-essence

olay treat

I had a blooper on my first day of trying this out. I did not know how to open it! I know, just twist the cap but I was too afraid that I might break it despite the cap being of strong quality. *lol* Anyway, the bottle comes with a dropper, and it makes things easier to measure. With it, I am sure that I am not using too much nor too little.

The Olay Miracle Boost has a slight gooey texture to it. It smells weird too like a hint of glue but it is probably the amino peptides. This gooey thing here has peptides which form a long chain of amino acids, and become protein that penetrates deep into the skin. Its ability to go beyond the surface of my skin is what makes it effective. It easily spreads and is easily absorbed by the skin.

Step 4: Moisturise with Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream

olay mois

The last step is moisturising the skin. The Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream is really creamy, and easily spreadable. I find it uncomfortable when I over moisturise my skin, hence, I simply place 10 small dots of this on my face, and just spread them all over. {I’ll probably make a video to make it easier for you to imagine}. It takes a little time for my skin to absorb though. After a minute or two, my face is smooth, firm, and hydrated. Another good thing about this moisturiser is that it can be worn under make up! Woot, woot!

How much does my Olay Night Ritual cost?

Here is how much each Olay products named above costs. Thanks to Sample Room, I got the Olay Miracle Boost Youth Pre-essence, and Olay Regenerist Micro-Sculpting Cream for free! If you want to try my Olay Night Ritual, send me an email, and I will invite you to SR. You can also purchase the Miracle Duo at a discount on Lazada.

prices
Prices are in Php and USD. (I’m not sure if these are the real prices back in US. I simply converted the Peso amount)

Ladies, I am not promising that each of these products will work for your skin as they did to mine but all of them, together, are worth giving a try. I am not going back to just using cleanser. From here on out, it is Olay Night Ritual.

Have you used any or all of these Olay products? What are your thoughts on them? Comment below or drop me an email at mirriamdictionary@gmail.com smiley jpg

  1. I’m an Eskinol girl but my Mom uses Olay so I’ll go ahead and tell her all about this. She would definitely love this.

    1. Oooooh if Olay’s already a little pricey, Laneige is more expensive 😂 I assume it does an amazing job on your skin, Arrianne. Yup, Olay sure is fantastic and the cream is very thrifty to apply. 😉

  2. Olay’s really a great product but sadly I can’t use other products without permission from my dermatology. But my mom’s using Olay before I think. Would recommend this product to her.

    1. Hi, Nadtja! I feel you. I need doctor’s permission too before I could use soaps and other skin care products because of my sensitive skin. I am just really this comfortable with Olay already 😂 thanks for recommending 😊

  3. Wow, you’ve been a loyal Olay user for 7 years, the brand must be that good huh? I used Olay night cream back in college but it was too oily for me. I rarely do maintenance now, so it’s a good thing you mentioned about taking care of the skin while still young. Currently the products I use are organic, most of them from Human Heart Nature since I’m a bit conscious about chemicals in products. Still, to each his own. I’m glad you’ve found a brand that’s hiyang to your skin. 🙂

    1. Hi, Kat! I am allergic to organic 😭 yes. To each his own, indeed. I’m glad you are also happy with Human Nature 😊

  4. This post reminds me to send you my email, for the deals 🙂
I hope it suits my skin too; as I have a really sensitive skin…after years of trial and error, I finally found Cetaphil to suit me… your skin looks so supple…pretty 🙂

  5. I’ve been using Olay for three years too. I was always in search of beauty products that won’t give me breakouts. I was so thankful with sample room when I first got to try the regenerist line of Olay. No irritation for me. Another great product of Olay that I’ve been using is the pore minimizing toner. I think I’m on my 4th bottle already. I used to have problems with toners and this one by Olay is the only one I got hiyang.

    1. Hahaha Adel, I wish I am but they really are there. Fine lines because of the lifestyle I once had. 😅

  6. Looking young takes a lot of effort, even my father uses Olay. hahaha. Good for us, my sister is supplying us Olay products from abroad so we don’t need to shell out money, however, I’m having a hard time applying these products ritually coz I’m lazy these days.

    1. Hi, Jes! Thank you for the compliment 😉 It is truly reasonable but it comes in one size tho. Let me know how things turn out 😊

  7. You look lovely on the before and after photos. I have only used olay total effects and the cleanser. The cleanser does a great job removing my make up. Giving me a soft and refreshed skin. I would love to try some of the new products of Olay. My mom loves Olay and had been using it for 3 years now.

  8. emergerd. I am not sure of what to say. As a man, I don’t know much about taking care of the skin. I have always been reading stuff about it but doesn’t really apply to my everyday living. My gf says that I should nourish my skin too. Maybe I really should. :3

    1. Oh, listen to your girl 😊 men need to take care of their skin as much as women do. My boyfriend uses Skin Food products especially designed for men(facial wash, toner, and emulsion) though Karen, one of my blogger friends, mentioned that his dad uses Olay. 😊

  9. I’ve been an Olay woman since I was 25 although I am still using Total Effects for now. Will shift to Regenerist when I hit my late 30s na siguro. Your skin looks so radiant after using Regen. I actually was waiting for the SR samples kaso naubusan ako. Will wait siguro for them to restock:)

    1. Den, they’ve restocked na!!! 😉 I used TE din but I loved regen more. I went up the ladder, nat white-total eff-regen Haha but the latter made my skin more supple. 😉

  10. I love their olay regenerist line, yes I totally agree skin care really is a key to take care of our skin though makeup can enhance our beauty but if we don’t have good skincare, our makeup will just look cakey and the application will be not smooth, skincare first before makeup

  11. Wow. That was long a skin care routine but if it works, why not? Hahaha. It really pays to care for your skin. I’ll try using one of those.. Though i think i dont need pa naman. Hehe. Hopefully it works for me too!

    1. Hi, Aya! Yeaaaaaah takes a little bit to finish haha if you’re still in your early 20s, you might want to try the total effects line. If you’re younger, the natural white collection 😉

  12. Woah! being a guy, I couldn’t relate very much but oh those regimens cost a lot! And I’m pretty sure they last just 2-3 months. My mom loves using these beauty regimens. well, I don’t know. She doesn’t look that old but yeah, maybe they really work!

I hope the money is all worth it.!

    1. Thanks, Ann! It was more of an adrenaline rush all the time 😂 let me know how Olay works for you 😉

  13. Olay is indeed one of the best beauty products in the market. I got the chance to try their regenerating serum before and the results were unbelievable. I just had to stop it because I had to undergo some treatment. Olay could be costly but with the results it gives, it’s totally worth it.
